Crystal Ordnance: a Sci-FI Story
The prologue/ Description
In the Solar system of the Pale Horse Galaxy, 10 planets hold sentient life. On one planet, an advanced race dwells, discovering great things and inventing wondrous creations. They conquered and destroyed 5 of the other planets. However one day, for an unknown reason, they vanished. 16 million years later, a new race has evolved. Anatomically the same as that extinct race (They looked like humans, except for their wings, which were not suited to flying for long periods of time.) they developed, designing tools and culture. 300 years later, they have reached a pinnacle in Technological history, traveling to their four moons and back, they have reached the ultimate, or so it seems. One day, when archaeologists investigate an unknown air pocket in the Harraj mountain, they stumble upon the ruins of an ancient civilization. Stone warships, apparently used for flying, lay forgotten and broken upon the smooth, untouched steel. When examined they discovered that the archaeologists had stumbled upon an ancient port, for space. Gigantic, Luminous crystals, inside the ships, exert enormous amounts of power, which scientists are able to replicate to create Power cores. Power cores are small, marble sized crystals which exert enormous amounts of power. If left alone, they can last forever. They are like self rechargeable batteries, which allow their ships to travel farther than ever before. However they are not as effective. The crystals are made out of ultra compressed energy, and regenerate as much energy as you drain. The power cores are not quite as effective, they can only regenerate at a certain pace. If drained too fast, it will die. As the research continues, the scientists discovered that how the weapons systems on the ancient ships worked, and transplanted them onto the modern warships. Traveling to the other planets, the Galactic Union is formed. As more and more space ports are unearthed, their technology advances. They even discover that one of their moons was a stone-covered ancient ship. However, an uprising occurs, and a rebel force steals the giant mother ship, along with 70 military warships and 200 civilian frigates. The Galactic Union is quick to act, however the Galactic Union will not win this war fast. Our story begins with a military commander named Zachary Johnson. There is one concerning thing. How did the ancient beings destroy entire planets, and what are the menacing red-cored sapphire crystals that some of the ancient ships have? Including the moon-sized one.
Chapter one will start soon.
